Thomas (Tom) Haggerty, AWMA®, CRPC®, CFS®, CIS™, CAS®, CMFC®
Tom entered the financial services industry in 1993 after graduating from St. John’s University with a BS in marketing. He joined Prager Metis/PM Wealth Management in August 2016 after stints with Wealth Advisory Group and the home offices of AIG Royal Alliance and AXA Equitable Advisors. Upon the merger of PM Wealth Management with Perigon Wealth Management in November 2022, Tom became part of the Perigon team as a wealth advisor.
He is an Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM (AWMA®), a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®)*, Certified Income Specialist™ (CIS™), Certified Fund Specialist® (CFS®), Certified Annuity Specialist® (CAS®), and Chartered Mutual Fund CounselorSM (CMFC®). Tom is Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 FINRA registered through PKS Investments, a notary public, and an approved New York State Insurance CE Monitor/Proctor with his NYS insurance license.
Tom employs these proficiencies in wealth management, retirement planning, investment and insurance products, and asset allocation to design portfolio and financial strategies founded on one’s goals and risk tolerance utilizing modern portfolio theory and behavioral finance principles. With all the noise that exists in the world today, it is easy to lose focus. Tom cuts through that noise by helping people define and pursue their wealth objectives using intelligent investment and downside risk strategies. Client communication and service are of utmost importance to him – including listening to clients’ needs and concerns and providing clear solutions void of financial jargon.
As a senior member of the PM Wealth team, Tom and his team take a prudent approach to managing risk as the architects of their clients’ financial well-being.
Tom is a member of the Knights of Columbus and is an active volunteer in his native Woodside, Queens for various community programs. He has been married to Tracey since 1997, and they have two children that are their pride and joy.
