Position Overview

The Billing Specialist plays a key role in supporting and executing the firm’s billing operations. This position helps ensure the accuracy and integrity of billing data within Orion Advisor Solutions and contributes to the quarterly billing cycle.

This role is open to both entry-level candidates and those with prior experience in billing, accounting, or wealth management. It offers strong exposure to billing operations within a growing RIA and is well-suited for individuals looking to build or expand a foundation in finance and operations.

You’ll work closely with Accounting & Finance, Operations, and Client Services teams to help ensure billing processes run smoothly and continue to scale as the firm grows.

What You’ll Do

Billing Operations

  • Support and help execute quarterly billing cycles, including adjustments and true-ups
  • Assist with processing advisor and solicitor payments
  • Generate and distribute invoices for select clients
  • Track receivables and help resolve billing discrepancies

Data & Systems Management

  • Maintain accurate billing data within Orion and internal systems
  • Assist with reconciling and validating data across platforms
  • Record billing adjustments and maintain organized, audit-ready documentation

Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with Advisory and Operations teams to help ensure billing instructions are accurate and up to date
  • Support process improvements and ad hoc finance projects

Qualifications

We’re open to candidates who are:

  • Recent graduates or early in their careers with strong attention to detail and an interest in finance
  • OR professionals with experience in billing, accounting, or wealth management

Core Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., lookups, formulas, data validation)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with billing or financial systems (e.g., Orion)
  • Exposure to accounting, finance, or RIA environments
