Position Overview

An Associate Wealth Advisor at Perigon Wealth Management will play an integral role in supporting Wealth Advisors (lead advisor) while gaining hands-on experience in wealth management. The associate is responsible for formulating and implementing advice but may also rely on technical specialists to develop recommendations. Associate Wealth Advisors have 3 – 5 years of industry experience and can manage existing client relationship in partnership with a more experienced advisor and eventually, on their own.

This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals and have a deep curiosity to learn about investment strategies, financial planning, and portfolio management. Candidates should have the ability to assist planningforward client relationships, delivering broad-based wealth management services and advice which includes tax planning, investment management, charitable goals mapping, cash-flow support, and risk management. Our aim is to help clients plot a course to and into financial independence.

Equally as important, we are seeking candidates who are eager to grow professionally. Longer-term, we would like to help you grow into an advisory role, establishing your own client relationships, leading client activity and implementing investment proposals.

Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000, commensurate with experience and location

Perigon Wealth Management is a rapidly growing independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) based in San Francisco, CA. We manage approximately $9 billion in client assets as a feebased fiduciary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare financial plans, including gathering data, analyzing financial information, and updating client portfolios.
  • Manage client inquiries and ensure they are directed to the appropriate team members when necessary.
  • Support the creation of financial plans by preparing various financial analysis reports
  • Review and analyze client financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate investment performance reports and client portfolio updates.
  • Run financial planning software to model different financial scenarios.
  • Conduct research on financial products, market trends, and other relevant financial planning topics.
  • Lead existing client relationship meetings under the guidance of an experienced Wealth Advisor. Serve as secondary advisor of existing client relationships and develop new client relationships over time, earning clients’ respect and appreciation.
  • Prepare client meeting materials and documents.
  • Begin to formulate, iterate and implement financial plans.
  • Provide clients with comprehensive fiduciary advice around a variety of planning topics, including tax planning, equity compensation, savings strategies, investment management and charitable gifting.
  • Collaborate with centralized teams dedicated to trading, investment strategy, client service/money movement, operations, compliance, billing and more, to offer a holistic, seamless, fiduciary client experience.
  • Help supervise, mentor and train associates and interns.
  • Work with Perigon’s tech-forward team to provide as much efficiency and security as possible, using tools like Salesforce, Box, Moneyguide Pro , Orion, and others.

Skills and Required Compentencies

  • CFP or CPA/PFP designation strongly preferred.
  • Series 7
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in financial services or a client-facing wealth management role.
  • Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuide)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and capable of building strong, trusted relationsips
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Enthusiasm for learning about financial planning and a commitment to professional growth.
