At Perigon Wealth Management, our Financial Planning Associates are key contributors to the delivery of high-quality, personalized client experiences.
In this role, you’ll provide critical support to lead advisors based in our San Francisco office — helping gather client data, build financial plans, run scenarios, and develop tailored strategies. You will be expected to participate in client meetings and assist with follow-up.

Perigon Wealth Management is a rapidly growing independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) based in San Francisco, CA. In addition to our headquarters in San Francisco, we have offices nationwide including Hawaii, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Delaware, Georgia and Florida with plans for significant near-term growth and expansion into new markets.
Our San Francisco team works largely with clients in their 30s through 50s, many of whom work in the tech sector and receive equity compensation. Our core value proposition involves broad-based wealth management service and advice, including tax planning, investment management, charitable goals mapping, cash-flow support, and concentrated-position management — all aimed at helping clients plot a course to and into financial independence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the preparation of and updating of financial plans, including gathering data, analyzing financial information, providing supporting analysis and updating client portfolios.
- Assist in running financial planning software to model different financial scenarios.
- Help manage client inquiries and ensure they are directed to the appropriate team members when necessary.
- Review and analyze client financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Generate investment performance reports and client portfolio updates.
- Conduct research on financial products, market trends, and other relevant financial planning topics.
- Assist in the preparation of client meeting materials and documents.
- Collaborate with tax and estate planning professionals.
- Maintain a work schedule that is consistent with West Coast work hours.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated progress toward or completion of the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation.
- 1–3 years of experience in wealth management or related field. (Internships or prior roles in wealth management are advantageous.)
- Fiduciary, client-forward values, and the desire to help people build the lives they want to lead.
- A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- A ruthless eye for detail.
- Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, Holistiplan). Previous use of Salesforce and Orion tools a plus.
- Proficiency in Google suite of online tools (Sheets, Docs).
- Passion for financial planning and a commitment to professional growth.

- Annual salary = $65,000 –$85,000 based on experience
- Ability to earn an annual discretionary bonus
